In my photographs I used the photographic triangle by adjusting my shutter speed to get the right amount of light to come in through the lens especially when the moment I was trying to capture is far away from me or when I'm trying to create motion blur. My photographs relate to the band name because I envisioned my band to be an all girl band with six members. I also imagined the members to be confident, young women who love what they do with reckless abandon, hence the album title. I tried to capture this "who cares what the consequences are" attitude by making the "members" look anywhere else but the camera. I also included a picture of the sun shining through leaves because I thought it would be perfect for the genre of this band which is indie rock. Their music just goes with the flow like how the trees sway when the wind blows. For the nature picture, I had to really learn how to adjust my iso and shutter speed because I was taking a direct picture of the sun. Meanwhile, I took the rest of the pictures on days where it was super sunny. I tried to find a shady spot to create interesting shadows. I had adjusted my aperture to make sure that the girls were the ones in focus and not the background.
I used the medium telephoto lens on both photoshoots. I am sure that if I had the chance to work and use the other lenses, it would affect the overall look of my photographs. When using this specific type of lens, I found that the more I zoomed in, the clearer of an image I got. So, I figured that if I took the picture a couple of meters away from my subject I would get the best looking pictures. I wanted my picture to be laid back, casual and candid. I feel like the technique I used was perfect because my models did not know when I was taking the pictures and I have always believed that candid pictures are so beautiful. I really enjoyed using a different type of lens and being out in the sun taking pictures.
