This is my advertisement for the editorial category. I feel that my advertisement is good for the product I am selling because I made sure that the company's logo (made up) is clearly visible so that the person viewing this ad could tell right away where the product came from. Not only does this ad promote necklaces, it also promotes other handmade creations and showing love through gifts like a special necklace. I used this specific angle to enhance the aesthetic of the product I am advertising. I made sure that the jewelry is at eye-level as a way to express a down to earth, simple feeling that comes with this accessory. I used Photoshop to make sure that the product stands out and is what the viewer would notice first. I made the jewelry extra shiny so that the buyer's attention would quickly avert to the necklace. I think that my advertisement stands out among other advertisements because of the personal logo I made up and the catchy slogan that I'm sure would not only capture the ladies' hearts but also the gentlemen's generous nature. My ad promotes the product by highlighting the necklace's quality through this angle. I think my ad is trying to say that another way of showing your affection for someone is through personal handmade gifts. Also, that handmade gifts could make someone's day as much as expensive, branded gifts will. I think Mr. Bresciani should choose my advertisement because it is something different. It is not as materialistic as most editorial products are. I made this advertisement more on the sentimental side, more on the idea of someone putting in an effort of getting you a gift and more on showing love through a special gift.
This is my advertisement for the commercial category. I feel that my advertisement is good for the product I am selling because the first you notice is the colorful, delicious candy. I used techniques I have never used before like actually use the product as the prop and a blank monotone background which i achieved using layers of tissue paper. I took pictures right in front of a window (keeping in mind that it was a cloudy day, so I constantly had to re-adjust my settings) to get as much light and exposure to enhance the colors of the candy. I photoshopped the glare on the candy produced by the windows to reduce distraction. I think that the subtle heart, the very saturated color of the candy make my ad stand among all the other ads. My ad promotes the product by associating it with positive feelings such as love and generosity. My ad is trying to say that you can share m&m's like you can share love, with everyone. I think Mr. Bresciani should pick my ad because I feel that it is very effective. It makes you literally want to grab the m&m's off the screen and eat it.
