I consider these two pictures a good example of strong product photography. Both pictures clearly display the product being advertised. The way the products are photographed just grabs your attention which I think is the main purpose for this type of photography. They are both clean, sharp and sophisticated. The lighting used is excellent. The pictures do not appear flat, in fact the items even seem to pop out. Nothing in the pictures above distracts you, it's straight to the point. For these reasons, I believe these pictures showcase strong product photography.
Meanwhile, I think these pictures are both poor examples of product photography. If the picture on the left would have been taken in another angle, I think it would have produced a much better photograph. The glare on the glass is distracting and in no way does it make me want to buy that watch judging it as a buyer. I also think that they could have used a better product, one without chaffed leather. On the other hand, the background with the picture on the right is way too distracting in my opinion. It was what my eyes noticed first. It almost camouflages the featured product. I also would consider zooming in more on the product as to I cannot really see the details on the drink. In conclusion, I believe that these pictures needs some work.
